Cara Lemon
Assistant Coach

Mamba is thrilled to have Coach Cara back with Mamba for her third year of coaching.  Cara played volleyball for Manhattan High, and played competitive USVBA volleyball for Great Bend KS.  She was a three sport athlete throughout her high school career, and later pursued softball at Johnson County Community College, where she would help lead her team to placing 2nd at Nationals in 1997, and placing 3rd at Nationals in 1998.  She then went on to play softball and basketball at Missouri Southern State University, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology.  Cara would reside in Missouri, where she pursued a career working in the mental health field, as a psychosocial rehabilitation specialist, working with severe mentally ill adults.  She later moved to Nashville Tn. after living in Missouri, where she met a fun group of beach volleyball competitors, and later played in several competitive tournaments.  Cara recently moved back to her hometown, Manhattan KS. from Albuquerque NM., and assisted in coaching the Manhattan Mamba 15U team last year in her first role as a coach.  Cara is passionate in her role in assisting young, talented, volleyball competitors, and will continue to educate and enhance the fitness and mental capabilities of each player. Cara is a proud dog mom, and enjoys being in the presence of great friends and family.  She is an avid bowler, and enjoys partaking in many outdoor adventures.
