Jarne Carroll

Club Director

Jarne' brings 15 years of coaching experience at the high school, club and college levels. After a standout career as an outside hitter at South Carolina State, where she earned a degree in English in 2011. Carroll was the 2010 MEAC Player of the Year after leading South Carolina State to the conference championship and winning it for the first time in 20 years. She also received MEAC Tournament Player of the Year, a four time All MEAC First Team member, and MEAC player of the week all four years. Her most recent accolade is being inducted into the South Carolina State Hall of Fame where she is a 2 time Hall of Famer. She began her coaching career in 2010 as an assistant coach with the Orangeburg Lady Cubs 18U team. She became the head coach in 2011, and saw four of her players receive scholarship offers. From 2013 to 2015, Carroll served as an assistant coach at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, where she helped guide the team to a regional championship. She also worked as the head coach for the Stillwater Volleyball Club 15U and 16U Premier teams. Carroll's coaching journey continued to Dallas, TX where she assisted in the start of Waterview Wolves Volleyball Club. She served as the Club Director, and coached 18s, 17s, and 16s Premier Teams during her time there. While in Dallas, Jarne' served as the Volunteer Assistant for Southern Methodist University, where they won the American Conference two years in a row and advanced to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament. In 2018 Jarne' helped kick start Northwest Arkansas Junior Storm Volleyball Club along with coaching the 16s and 17s National Teams. Her teams both years qualified for GJNC, Seven of her players received scholarships! Carrolls last stop before making the transition to MHK was in Tampa FL, where she coached the 17s Silver at Club Steel. Jarne is the founder and owner of Manhattan Mamba Volleyball Club! She has coached various 18s premiere teams with Mamba at qualifiers all over the nation, with last years team competing and finishing as a top 20 team at NJGA 18s nationals. She has guided her players through the recruiting process and helped so many of them sign with colleges all over the nation. Her vision and desire is to impact many athletes to be the best version of themselves and help them to pursue their goals. Coach J will continue to bring her enthusiasm and energy to Mamba as the director both in person and from afar. Carroll is married to Trumain Carroll, the Director of Sports Performance at the University of Southern California. The couple have a seven year old son named Deuce and one vear old daughter Mira!

Sean Rende

17-Black/18-Black Head Coach

Sean Rende has been coaching volleyball for 12 years. He's grown up around the sport since both his parents were assistant coaches at Cair Paravel Latin School in Topeka KS. Coach Rende has coached club with KNVBC Shazam teams and then the past 2 seasons with Mamba 17's premiere and 18s premiere team. He has coached numerous teams at various National qualifiying tournaments, including USAV junior nationals. Coach Rende will be attending school for an athletic training degree. He is excited to lead the 17s and 18s teams and looks forward to challenging them, pushing them to meet goals and excelling their overall game!

Lexi Long

16-White Head Coach

My name is Lexi Long and I'm originally from Lincoln, Nebraska. I grew up playing volleyball at Volleyball Club Nebraska (VCN) from age 12 to 18 and also played for Lincoln Southeast High School. / went to Dordt University in Sioux Center, lowa from 2019 to 2023 where I played volleyball for two years and earned my degree in Psychology and Exercise Science. I also coached a local high school club team in Sioux Center for two years. After graduating I went to Minnesota State University, Mankato. I spent two years in Mankato, MN where I got my masters degree in Sport, Performance, and Exercise Psychology in 2025. Along with my degree I was also a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Women's Volleyball Team at the University. I came to Manhattan, KS about 6 months ago for my job working as a Performance Expert at Fort Riley. I have a strong passion for helping athletes not only succeed on the court but also life! I am very excited to join the Mamba Coaching Staff!

Aleah Wallace

15-Black Head Coach

Coach Aleah is entering her first year of teaching and her fifth year of coaching with Mamba. She has coached club teams at multiple age levels (17 premiere, 18 premiere) and has attended national qualifiers across the country, helping lead teams to the Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC) twice. She also coaches middle school volleyball at Rock Creek. A lifelong volleyball player, Coach Aleah competed in both club and school volleyball in the Kansas City area. She is passionate about helping athletes grow on and off the court and is excited for another season with Mamba.

Trisha Mathewson

14-Black Head Coach

This season will be Trisha's 5th year coaching club and 3rd year coaching for Mamba! Trisha coached all ages from 12-17's premiere! She is beyond excited to be coaching the 14 black team again this year and pushing them to excel in premiere volleyball! Trisha attended McPherson College in McPherson Ks where she had the opportunity to play collegiate volleyball while getting her degree in finance. Coaching philosophy, Coach Trish loves to help athletes grow their passion for the sport of volleyball by creating a positive and competitive environment. She encourages athletes to always do their best and bring their best self to the court. She coaches to not only push players to become good athletes but also good people. Trish is excited to lead the 14s premiere group this seaon!

Reagan Maxon

14-Purple Head Coach

My name is Reagan, and I am so excited for the upcoming season! I started playing volleyball in 3rd grade and immediately fell in love with the sport. I went on to play club volleyball as a DS/libero for 7 years, as well as compete at Liberty North High School. I also previously coached a recreational team, which strengthened my passion for helping young athletes develop their skills and confidence. I will be graduating from KSU this upcoming spring with a Master's degree in Interior Architecture. I am also an alumna of Gamma Phi Beta, whose mission is "building strong girls." I'm excited to bring that same focus on encouragement and mentorship to Mamba while helping empower young athletes both on and off the court!

Valerie Meyer

13-Black Head Coach

Hello! I'm Valerie Meyer and I am excited to be coaching this year. I'm originally from the tiny town of Bern, KS and began playing volleyball as a 6th grader. In high school, I traveled to Omaha to play club volleyball (while also doing basketball and track) for the River City Juniors, playing in large regional tournaments as well as a Nationals tournament. I went on to play two years of D1 collegiate volleyball for the University of Nebraska Omaha before transferring to K-State, marrying my high school sweetheart, and settling into the Manhattan community. I currently stay home with our four kiddos. I am excited to coach and share my love of volleyball with Mamba players, helping them become better players, teammates, and all-around people.

Kelly Mccurdy

12-Purple Head Coach

Kelly is entering her sixth season with Mamba Volleyball and has coached teams ranging from 11s to 16s Premier. A former three-year varsity setter at Manhattan High School, she earned All-State honors, and helped lead her team to three state tournament appearances. Kelly attended Kansas State University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design while also studying abroad in Spain. Passionate about volleyball and youth development, she is committed to helping athletes grow both on and off the court through leadership, discipline, and strong work ethic. Kelly works at Pfeifley Jewelers and lives in Manhattan with her husband, Chris and their son, Colton.

Aubrey Scott

11-Purple Co-Coach

My name is Aubrey Scott and l am a Junior at Kansas State University studying psychology! I am from Shawnee, Kansas and I graduated from De Soto High School in 2024. I started playing volleyball when I was 8 years old and continued up until my sophomore year of college as a Libero. I played my freshman year at Newman University in Wichita, KS then went on to coach for KC Power's 13-2 team. I am super excited for this season. Go Mamba!

Addi McCarty

Hi! I'm Addi McCarty, and I'm excited to be coaching for Mamba this season! I am a sophomore at Kansas State! I've been playing volleyball since 2nd grade and started competing in premier club volleyball at age 10. Throughout my career, I've played for Impact, Club North, and Pohaku, earning the opportunity to compete at Nationals. Volleyball has been a huge part of my life, and I'm excited to help young girls grow their skills, confidence, and love for the game this season!

Emma Chacey

18-Black/17-Black Assistant Coach

Hello! My name is Emma Chacey and I am so excited to coach my second year with Mamba! I started playing volleyball when / was 8 years old, played high school ball with De Soto and premier club with Dynasty. This is my third year coaching club and I currently work in campus ministry at Kstate. Since my time as a player has ended I've loved coaching and getting to encourage and support young athletes in their lives. This will be my second year as a head coach and I am so excited to continue my journey with the Mamba family and coach this group this upcoming year!!

Taya Hoerner

18-Black Assistant Coach

Hi! My name is Taya, I'm 22 and originally from Abilene, Kansas. I am a surgical assistant at an oral surgery office in Manhattan. I've played volleyball my whole life from club team to school ball. During travel volleyball l was an outside hitter, during my years in high school I was a setter running 5-1 on the court and played right side. I am excited to get back on the court and share my love for volleyball to younger athletes, creating a positive environment where players want to build confidence, improve their skills and grow both on and off the court!

Karadan Kinsey

17-Black Assistant Coach

Hi everyone! My name is Karadan Kinsey and I am so excited to coach for mamba, this will be my first season coaching with the club. I grew up playing soccer, basketball and volleyball. I fell in love with volleyball. In high school we went to state 3 years in a row. I recently graduated from K-State where / was on the rowing team for two years and studied communications with a nonprofit certificate. I am currently working at the K-State Alumni Association. I always knew I wanted to coach and I'm so excited to bring my excitement, joy, and loud energy to coaching and helping young women improve as players and in their life.

Anistyn Gaskill

16-Black Assistant Coach

Hi! My name is Anistyn Gaskill and this will be my 3rd year coaching with Mamba! I coached the 11-Purple my first year and the 15-black team this past year who qualified for nationals. I also coach Rock Creek Middle School volleyball. I graduated from Manhattan High and played with MHS for 4 years as a setter. I have also been fortunate to play with Mamba in national qualifiers all over the nation, including nationals in 2025. In addition, I played beach volleyball and qualified and competed in BVNE's 2024 national qualifier in Pompeo Beach, FL. I am looking forward to coaching the 16s premiere and working with the girls this season! Go Mamba!

Sydney Davis

16-White Assistant Coach

Hi! I'm Sydney Davis and I'm thrilled to be back coaching with Mamba this year for my 2nd year, with my previous team the 16-1 premiere. I was raised in Florida where I played competitive club volleyball for multiple years, high school and rec play in college! graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in June 2019 with a bachelor of silence in forensic studies I currently work as a full-time science investigator which makes life interesting! When I'm not at work, you can find me hanging with my husband and our son, Blake, or playing indoor volleyball or sand volleyball somewhere in Manhattan during the week! I'm excited to once again share my love and passion for the game with those who have the dive to learn and I'm ecstatic to be coaching with Mamba this season!

Delaney Dorset

Hi, I am Delaney Dorsett and l am so grateful to be joining the Mamba community this year! I am a special education teacher and head volleyball coach at Anthony Middle School in Manhattan, KS. I played volleyball at a community college before transferring to KSU to finish my undergraduate degree in elementary education. I earned my masters degree in K-12 high and low incidence special education. I can't wait to help the young athletes build dedication. a hard work ethic, and a life long love for volleyball. Let's go Mamba!

Emily Langley

14-Black Assistant Coach

i'm Emily Langley! I am excited to be entering my 2nd year coaching for Mamba! I was raised in a small little town in Northeast Kansas, where I played volleyball, basketball, and participated in various other activities. I played competitive volleyball from fourth grade till my senior year at Mavs KC and ended with Dynasty volleyball my final two years! I am currently studying kinesiology at K State and will be a senior this fall! When I'm not on the court, you can find me hanging out with my friends and family doing anything outdoors! I'm super excited to bring even more energy to Mamba and help these girls grow into their best selves!

Sophia Berg

14-Purple Assistant Coach

Hi! My name is Sophia Berg, and l am so excited to be joining Mamba as an assistant coach this season! I am from Austin, Texas, and I am entering my second year at Kansas State University, where I am majoring in Social Work. Volleyball has always been a passion of mine and a huge part of my life. I played club volleyball for seven years and competed at the varsity level all school and was awarded as my team's MVP and Offensive Player of the Year. I have gained valuable experience playing for multiple club programs and working with different teammates and coaches, and I have loved every second of playing this very special sport. l am so excited for this season and I can't wait to help develop the skills, confidence, and love for the game in these incredible athletes at mamba!

Haley Davis

13-Black Assistant Coach

Hey! My name is Haley Davis, and I am from Baldwin City, Kansas. I graduated in 2024 after playing as a middle blocker for 4 years! Senior year I had the opportunity to be "Coach Davis" for some of the younger girls, which started my love for helping girls learn how to play, and how to be confident in themselves! I currently attend Kansas State University, entering my senior year. I will be applying for sonography schools this year, super exciting!! You'll catch me playing sand volleyball or intramurals throughout the year!

Reese McCullough

12-Purple Assistant Coach

Hi Mamba fam!! I'm Reese McCullough! I am a sophomore at KSU working towards my bachelors in interior design and this is my 3rd year coaching and 2nd year coaching with mamba! I started playing club volleyball 10 years ago and fell in love with the game! I was a varsity letterer all 4 years of high school being the libero my junior and senior year. I also played for mamba my 16s and 17s years (2022-2024) and got to travel the country and play in multiple national qualifying tournaments with my best friends! You'll catch me at a lot of mamba open gyms, camps, and workouts throughout the season and off season sharing my love for the game! My goal is to make strong and confident girls on and off the court and remind them this is so much more than a game! So excited for another fun filled year r* volleyball with these babies!
